This 40 X 60 canvas is one of the largest pieces I've completed. The design for separating line popped into my head as I was looking at blank canvases in the art supply store. As soon as I got the it home I drew the design on the plastic wrap surrounding the canvas so that I wouldn't forget it. My sister told me she could see a dragon's wing as he flew over the ocean when she saw the finished piece.
Rhapsody in Blue
This piece is acrylic on a 30 X 40 canvas. Inspired by computer graphic of lines of fading light. The blue background is especially deep and soothing. The rhythms created by the different lengths and depths of the lines has been said to be reminiscent of a Mondrian style abstract.
Inspired by the colors of a dear friend's wedding, this piece is actually the inspiration for another piece of mine. The white spiral represents the bride and the black figure, of course, is the groom.
